MJM Cleaning Services provides professional deep cleaning for homes in Wayzata, Minnesota, with service also available across Minnetonka, Eden Prairie and nearby communities. Our deep cleaning service is designed for homes that need more attention than regular maintenance cleaning, whether that means built-up kitchen grease, bathroom grime, dusty baseboards or areas that have simply been overlooked for a while.
Every home is different, so we do not approach deep cleaning as a one-size-fits-all service. We look at your home’s condition, size and cleaning priorities, then focus the service around the areas that need the most attention.

A deep cleaning is a more detailed service designed for homes that need more attention than a regular maintenance clean. It focuses on built-up dust, grease, grime and areas that are often missed during routine cleaning, especially kitchens, bathrooms, baseboards, trim, floor edges and other detailed surfaces.
At MJM Cleaning Services, we do not treat every home the same. We look at the condition of your home, the areas that need the most attention and your specific priorities, then tailor the deep cleaning around what actually needs to be done. This makes the service more useful than following a generic checklist that may not match your home.
A deep cleaning generally includes the same important rooms and surfaces you would expect from regular house cleaning, but with more time spent on detail work and areas where buildup tends to collect.
The exact work can vary depending on your home and the service requested. If there is something specific you want cleaned, let us know when requesting your quote so we can understand the scope before the appointment.
The kitchen is often one of the areas that needs the most attention during a deep clean because grease, food residue, fingerprints and dust can build up across several different surfaces.
We can focus on areas such as countertops, sinks, faucets, stovetops, backsplash areas, cabinet fronts, appliance exteriors and accessible floor edges. Extra attention can also be given to areas where grease and residue tend to collect around cooking and food preparation spaces.
If you need something more specific, such as cleaning inside an oven, refrigerator or cabinets, mention it when requesting service so it can be included in the cleaning plan if appropriate.
Bathrooms can quickly develop soap residue, mineral buildup, dust and grime, particularly around showers, tubs, sinks and fixtures. A deeper cleaning gives these areas more attention than they would normally receive during routine maintenance.
Depending on the condition of the bathroom, we can focus on toilets, tubs, showers, sinks, mirrors, faucets, fixtures, tile, grout and flooring. If one bathroom needs significantly more attention than the others, you can tell us where you would like the team to focus.
Bedrooms, living rooms, home offices and shared spaces often collect dust around edges, furniture, trim and other surfaces that may not receive detailed attention every week.
During a deep cleaning, these rooms can receive more detailed dusting and surface cleaning, along with attention to baseboards, doors, window sills, floor edges and accessible areas around furniture. If there is a particular room you want prioritized, let us know before the cleaning begins.
These are some of the first areas homeowners notice when routine cleaning is no longer enough. Dust and marks can gradually build up along baseboards, trim, door frames and other edges of the home.
Deep cleaning gives us an opportunity to spend more time on these detailed areas rather than focusing only on the main surfaces.
Deep cleaning can be useful whenever your home needs a more complete reset than your normal cleaning routine can provide.
You may want to schedule a deep clean if your home has not been professionally cleaned for some time, if kitchens and bathrooms have developed noticeable buildup or if details such as baseboards and trim are beginning to need more attention.
It can also make sense before hosting guests, after an especially busy period, during seasonal cleaning or before starting recurring professional cleaning.
The home does not need to be extremely dirty before a deep clean becomes worthwhile. Sometimes it is simply the right service when several small cleaning tasks have accumulated at the same time.
Deep cleaning and regular house cleaning are related, but they serve different purposes.
Regular cleaning is designed to maintain a home that is already in reasonably good condition. It focuses on the tasks that need to be completed regularly to keep the home comfortable and manageable.
Deep cleaning goes further into areas where dust, grime and buildup have accumulated over time. More attention is given to details such as baseboards, kitchen surfaces, bathroom buildup, corners and other areas that do not necessarily require intensive cleaning during every visit.
Some MJM clients may choose to begin with a deep clean and then move to recurring cleaning to help maintain the home afterward.
A deep cleaning is usually intended for a home that is currently being lived in. Move in and move out cleaning is designed around a property transition and may require a different cleaning scope.
An empty home can expose areas that are normally covered by furniture, belongings and stored items. Cabinets, closets and other areas may also need attention depending on the move cleaning service requested.
If you are preparing to move into or out of a home, tell us when you contact MJM. We can help determine whether a deep cleaning or move in and move out cleaning is better suited to the situation.
There is no fixed schedule that works for every home. Some homeowners may want a deeper cleaning seasonally, while others may only need one when their normal cleaning routine starts falling behind.
Spring is a common time for Minnesota homeowners to address dust and buildup that accumulated during the colder months. Deep cleaning can also be useful before holidays, family gatherings or other times when you want the home feeling more thoroughly cleaned.
If you already use recurring cleaning, you may occasionally want additional attention given to specific rooms or detailed areas rather than scheduling a complete deep clean every time.
Minnesota weather can affect how quickly certain areas of the home become dirty.
During winter, entryways and floors can receive more moisture, dirt and material tracked in from outside. As the seasons change, dust can also accumulate around windows, trim, entry areas and other parts of the home.
A seasonal deep clean can help address these areas while also giving kitchens, bathrooms and living spaces the extra attention they need. We keep the focus on your actual home rather than adding unnecessary tasks simply because they appear on a generic seasonal checklist.
The first step is understanding what you need cleaned. From there, the cleaning plan can be built around the service your home requires.
Request a quote. Tell us about your home’s size, current condition and any areas you want us to prioritize.
Your cleaning plan. The plan is built around the service your home requires — not a generic checklist.
Cleaning day. Our team completes the agreed work carefully, paying attention to the areas that matter most to you.
If there is a particular bathroom, kitchen area, floor or other space that has been bothering you, tell us. Clear communication makes it easier for us to focus the cleaning where it will make the biggest difference in your home.
MJM does not use one fixed deep cleaning price for every home because the amount of work can vary considerably.
Pricing depends on factors such as your home’s square footage, the type of cleaning required, the condition of the property and the specific areas that need attention. A home that has been regularly maintained may require a very different service from a similar sized home that has not received detailed cleaning for some time.
MJM prices residential cleaning by the service rather than charging a standard hourly rate. The current minimum booking is $150.
The best way to get an accurate price is to provide details about your property and request a personalized quote.
The amount of time required depends on the size and condition of the home as well as what you want cleaned.
A smaller, maintained property needing additional detail work can be very different from a larger home where kitchens, bathrooms, floors and several detailed areas need significant attention.
Instead of promising the same amount of time for every property, we recommend discussing the condition and priorities of your home when requesting service.
You do not need to clean your house before MJM arrives. However, putting away loose belongings can make it easier for our team to spend more time on actual cleaning rather than working around unnecessary clutter.
If possible, pick up clothing, toys and personal items from floors and heavily used surfaces. If there are fragile belongings or areas requiring special care, let us know before cleaning begins.
It is also helpful to identify your main priorities. If the bathroom grout, kitchen buildup or baseboards are the reason you booked the service, tell us. We would rather understand what matters most to you than make assumptions.
MJM uses professional cleaning products and equipment according to the surface and type of cleaning required. Our equipment includes Miele HEPA vacuuming, and we use eco-friendly options where they are appropriate for the job.
Products may include Bona for wood and vinyl flooring, Murphy Oil Soap and Orange Glo for appropriate wood surfaces, Sprayway Glass Cleaner for mirrors and glass, Weiman products for stainless steel and stone, Zep Grout Cleaner, CLR products, Dawn and professional kitchen and oven cleaning products.
Bleach may also be used when it is needed and appropriate for the surface being cleaned. We choose products based on what we are cleaning rather than making one cleaning product do every job.
MJM Cleaning Services is a local Minnesota cleaning company founded by Tania in 2023. Tania brings around 10 years of cleaning industry experience and worked at North Memorial Hospital before starting MJM.
She created the business because she wanted more flexibility while continuing to do work where she could see a meaningful difference for clients. That is particularly important when cleaning helps busy families, elderly clients or people who need additional support maintaining their homes.
Our approach is based on a simple idea. We want to treat our clients and their homes the way we would want to be treated ourselves. That means listening to your preferences, understanding what needs attention and creating a cleaning plan around the home instead of expecting every customer to need exactly the same service.
MJM provides deep cleaning and other residential cleaning services throughout Wayzata and surrounding Minnesota communities.
Our primary service areas include Wayzata, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie, with additional service available in areas including Plymouth, Maple Grove, Orono, Medina and Dayton.
If you are unsure whether your home falls within our service area, contact us before booking and we can confirm availability.

Tania helped me out when my cleaning lady quit right before my daughter and her family came from London for a stay. She came right over, went over what I needed, I hired her and she was there the next day with the cleaning ladies. They were fabulous! The next time they cleaned Tania just sent the two women and they did a perfect job of getting my house spotless and just perfectly cleaned. I am so thankful for Tania, Susan and Maria and want everyone to know how wonderful they are for cleaning a house!Posted on Google![]()
