House Cleaning Services in Eden Prairie, MN

Woman Owned, Family Run, and Actually From Around Here

Eden Prairie is a city of long tenures. Nearly 89% of residents lived in the same home a year ago, and the typical house here went up around 1988. People buy, settle in, and stay. That creates a specific kind of cleaning need. Not a fresh start, but a home lived in hard for thirty-odd years that deserves better than a rushed once-over.

MJM Cleaning Services is a woman owned, family run cleaning company serving Eden Prairie, Minnesota (zip codes 55344, 55346 and 55347) in Hennepin County, plus Minnetonka, Chanhassen, Bloomington and Edina. We clean houses, townhomes and condos across the city, and we price the work honestly before we start.

What Cleaning Costs in Eden Prairie

Recurring cleaning, per visit:

Home sizeWeeklyBiweeklyMonthly
Condo or townhome under 1,500 sq ft$125 to $170$140 to $190$165 to $220
1,500 to 2,200 sq ft$155 to $205$175 to $235$205 to $270
2,200 to 3,000 sq ft$190 to $250$215 to $290$250 to $330
3,000 to 4,000+ sq ft$235 to $315$270 to $365$315 to $430

Deep cleaning and first time cleans: roughly 1.5 to 2 times a standard visit. Most Eden Prairie homes fall between $300 and $650.

Move out and pre listing cleans: typically $325 to $700, since empty homes mean every cabinet, closet and appliance interior.

The first clean costs more because we are establishing a baseline, not maintaining one. Frequency lowers the per visit price. See our 2026 metro pricing breakdown.

How It Works

1. Tell us about your home. Square footage, bedrooms, bathrooms, pets, and anything you especially care about.

2. We give you a real number. No in home sales visit required.

3. We clean. Top to bottom, room by room, everything supplied. Most clients leave a code or lockbox.

4. You tell us how we did. If anything is off, tell us within 24 hours and we fix it free.

Condos and Townhomes Are a Different Job

Roughly 22% of Eden Prairie’s housing is attached, well above most western suburbs, and most cleaning companies clean these exactly like a small house. That misses several things.

Vertical layouts change the work: A three level townhome means stairs on every pass, and stair edges and spindles collect far more dust than flat floors. Time goes to movement, not just surfaces.

Shared walls mean shared humidity: In attached homes, moisture and air move between units. Interior bathrooms and lower levels without windows hold humidity longer, and that is where mildew starts at the grout line and around exhaust fan housings.

Association rules matter: Many Eden Prairie associations restrict what can be done on shared balconies, in common corridors and to exterior glass. We work within those rules rather than creating a complaint for you.

Access is tighter: Elevator buildings, shared entries, guest parking limits and fob systems all affect scheduling. Telling us upfront means we arrive prepared, not circling the lot.

A 1,300 square foot townhome is not simply a smaller house. It is a different shape of job, and our pricing reflects that.

What a 1988 Home Actually Needs

Eden Prairie’s median home was built in 1988, and roughly 72% of the housing stock went up between 1970 and 1999. Most homes here are 25 to 55 years old.

That age shows up in predictable places. Original grout has absorbed decades of soap film and no longer responds to surface cleaning. Cabinet interiors that have never been emptied carry a particular film. Range hoods and bathroom exhaust fans from that era trap grease and lint where newer designs do not.

None of this means anything is wrong with the house. It means routine cleaning alone will not reach it, and a periodic deep clean is maintenance rather than luxury.

There is also a lifecycle here nobody talks about. Eden Prairie’s population is slowly declining, and about 16% of residents are 65 or older. A steady share of homeowners are preparing long held houses for sale and moving into townhomes and condos in the same city. A pre listing deep clean on a thirty year old home is one of the highest return preparations available, and it is very different work from a routine visit. We do both, and we will tell you which one you need.

Safe for Kids, Pets and Older Finishes

We use eco friendly, non toxic products by default rather than as an upgrade. That matters for the people closest to the floor, crawling babies and dogs that groom themselves after walking across it. It matters in a Minnesota winter too, when your home is sealed for five months and whatever gets sprayed in January is still in the air in March.

It also matters for older finishes. Original 1980s tile, sealed grout and aging cabinets do not tolerate harsh chemistry. If anyone has asthma or chemical sensitivity, we go fragrance free. More on why we use non toxic products.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have questions about our house cleaning services in Eden Prairie? We’ve answered the most common questions local homeowners ask about pricing, scheduling, recurring service, deep cleaning, and what to expect before booking with MJM Cleaning Services.

Q: How much does house cleaning cost in Eden Prairie, MN?

Most homes run $140 to $315 per visit for recurring cleaning, depending on size and frequency. Condos and townhomes start lower. Deep cleans and first visits run $300 to $650, and move out cleans $325 to $700.

Q: How often should I have my house cleaned?

Weekly suits large households, multiple pets or homes over 3,000 sq ft. Biweekly is the most common choice here. Monthly fits condos, townhomes and couples who tidy between visits.

Q: Do you clean condos and townhomes differently than houses?

Yes. Multi level layouts add stair work, attached units hold humidity longer in interior bathrooms and lower levels, and many associations have rules about shared spaces. We price accordingly.

Q: What is the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?

A regular clean maintains what is already clean. A deep clean resets everything: behind appliances, inside cabinets, grout, baseboards, vents and ceiling fans. Most clients start with a deep clean, then switch to recurring.

Q: Do I need to clean before the cleaners arrive?

No. Picking up clutter helps us spend time cleaning rather than moving your things, but you do not need to clean first.

Q: What if I am not happy with the cleaning?

Tell us within 24 hours and we return and fix it at no charge.
